About the Library

The Library of Ananda Mohan College was established since the inception of the college. Before August 1984, the three colleges (Rammohan College, City College and Ananda Mohan College) shared a common library. Since then, Ananda Mohan College has had a separate library. The college library is located on the first floor of the main building of the college and it has a floor area of approximately 1000 sq. ft.

As on 31 March 2026, the library has a collection of more than 22,230 books which also includes some old, rare books and valuable reference books. The library remains open on all working days.

Library Hours

2.30 P.M. to 9.00 P.M. (Monday to Friday)
2.30 P.M. to 7.30 P.M. (Saturday)

Days on which Books are Issued

For all Honours and General Courses;

   B.Com. (General & Hons.): First Year and Second Year [Monday & Wednesday].
   B.Sc. (General & Hons.): First Year and Second Year [Tuesday & Thursday].
   B.A. (General & Hons.): First Year and Second Year [Wednesday & Friday].   All Stream (General & Hons.): Third Year [ Any day except Saturday].

Book Return:

Library book return – 3.00 P.M. to 6.30 P.M.Library book issue – 6.30 P.M. to 8.15 P.M. [ Requisition slip will be received everyday till 6.30 P.M.]
